Mack "Don" Donald Woodall

woodall-m-d

JUNE 16, 1926 ~ FEBRUARY 10, 2023

Don Woodall was born to Charlie and Georgie Woodall on June 16, 1926. He went to Dale schools before joining the Army for World War 2. He earned a Bronze Star for his heroic efforts in defending this great nation in one of our darkest times.

Don married Patsy Ann Woodall in 1950. Their marriage lasted until her passing this past year. They were married over 72 years. Don is preceded in death by his beloved wife Patsy, daughter Nancy Jane Woodall, his parents, grandparents, 5 brothers, and 1 sister, and their spouses.

Don is survived by his son and daughter in law Donald Brian and Keta Woodall, their children Mike Woodall, Vicky Ayres, Brian Woodall, Kristen Venci, Logan Woodall, Colton Woodall, and their respective families. Don is also survived by his daughter Nancy's son Gary Woodall and his wife Terica, and their daughters Abigail and Kaylyn; Nancy's daughter Melissa Tankersly and husband Ray Tankersly; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Don was an avid fisherman who loved Eufaula Lake. He drove a semi-truck with pride until his retirement in the early 80's

.

Once Don retired he took up his most important job. He became everyone's "Papa". It didn't matter if you were the neighbor kid from across the street, or a young cousin from the next town. Papa treated "ALL" of us like we were his own.

Papa loved his family and friends. He had many friendships that lasted entire lifetimes. Papa along with his wife Patsy and his daughter Nancy are greatly missed by everyone. We all know just how glorious, beautiful, and amazing that reunion in Heaven is. I can just hear Nannie in Heaven calling for "Papa" and telling him supper's ready.

"Remember there is the right way, the wrong way and the Papa way". The right way is to remember the good, forget the bad, forgive, and love your family. Thank you for all the advice, stories, memories, and good times. We love you and will miss you forever.

A visitation for Don will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801. A funeral service will occur Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home.
