Edwinna Wittmann, 85, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, July 28, 2016, in Shawnee.

Edwinna was born on the family farm north of Sulphur, Oklahoma, to Lonnie James (Buster) and Ethel Atteberry. The farm is the present day location of the Murray County Antique Tractor and Implement Association. She attended Oak Grove grade school and Hickory High school. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years and later worked and retired from Tinker AFB.

She was married to Dale Wittmann for 45 years. One of the many joys they shared together through the years was traveling in their recreational vehicles. They saw and experienced many wonderful things during those trips together. Sometimes some of the children and grandchildren tagged along. Edwinna loved doing arts and crafts. She became very skilled in her painting and entered many of them in the county fair where she earned several blue ribbons. She also got involved with genealogy and traced the many branches of our family. One result of her research was to establish contact and closeness with relatives in Tennessee. She and Dale began to attend their annual reunions. These are yet other members of the family who will miss her.

Edwinna is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, John Atteberry and Joy Lee; and son Ronald Elwyn Lee.

Those left to cherish their memories are her husband; children, Ronald's widow, Rita, of Corpus Christi, Texas, Mike Lee of Shawnee, Lorna and Pete Blochowiak of Shawnee, Kendal and Kellie Lee of Perkins, Victor and Sharla Lee of Shawnee, Judy and Edward Aguirre Sr. of Tecumseh, and Carla and Jim Craig of Norman; stepchildren, Kathryn and Kent Crow of Shawnee, Lloyd and Brenda Wittmann of Shawnee and Betty Anne and Richard Taylor of Purcell; 20 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Edwinna is also survived by three sisters: Albertha Spiva of Perkins, Wanda Donaldson of Strafford, Missouri, and Brondel Coyle of Sulphur.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, July 31, at Resthaven Funeral Home in Shawnee.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 1, at New Beginnings Church in Shawnee with Brother Mike Taylor and Brother Larry Sparks officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Andy Lee, Paul Lee, Doug Lee, David Lee, Jacob Aguirre, and Cody Carlon. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Lee, Bryan Lee and Zac Carlon.

Services are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
