JUDITH "JUDI" ELAINE RANDELL

May 3, 1950 - Nov. 2, 2004

Oklahoma City resident Judith "Judi" Elaine Randell, 54, died Tuesday, Nov. 2.

She was born May 3, 1950, in Shawnee to J. Delbert Akin and Dorothy Mae Christian Akin.

Randell attended school in Ada, Norman and graduated in 1967 from Spencer High School. She also attended East Central University in Ada. She was married in 1968 to Steven B. Randell in Ada. She worked at Tinker Air Force Base for 15 years. Randell was baptized as a teenager and, at the time of her death, was a member of Charity Freewill Baptist Church of Midwest City. She served as church pianist.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Akin.

Survivors include a daughter, Whitney Buckendorff of Oklahoma City; two sons, Clifford Randell of Oklahoma City and Benjamin Randell and wife, Kim, of Kansas City, Mo.; father and stepmother, Delbert and Virginia Akin of Midwest City, sister, Jan Cornelius and husband, Steve, of Shawnee; brother, Phillip Akin and wife, Anita, of Oklahoma City; stepsister, Kim Dean and husband, Anthony, of Midwest City; stepbrother, Larry Bates of Choctaw; granddaughter, Katie Grace Buckendorff; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives.

A memorial service was held 2 p.m. Monday at Harrah Freewill Baptist Church under the direction of Ford Funeral Service of Midwest City.
