Longtime Shawnee resident Larry K. Martsolf, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008.
He was born June 12, 1940, in Mishawaka, Ind., to Kenneth and Evelyn Martsolf.
Larry met the love of his life, Ellen Wickizer and they enjoyed 42 loving years together.
He was a member of South Rock Creek Independent Church of God.
Larry collected eagles and built, repaired, and collected clocks. He started the Pottawatomie County Dart League in 1997.
He loved to spoil his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Martsolf of the home; children, Karen Gail, Rhoda, and Steven; step-children, Donald, Dennis, Sue Ellen, and Loycie; brothers, Jack and Betty Martsolf of Indiana, Robert and Fran Martsolf of Casa Grande, Ariz., Steve and Margaret Martsolf of Glendale, Ariz.; sisters, Joan and Clyde Melton and Jeanie and Chuck Rae of Indiana; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul and Claire Bristow officiating.
