Funeral services for Miss Dolores Laughlin, 17, of 313 1/2 E. Main, will be held in Roesch Brothers Chapel at a time to be announced. Rev. John E. Fite, pastor of Oklahoma Avenue Baptist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Bob Bryce, Don Bryce, Chester Garris, Bobby Cook, Chuck Tanner and G. L. Childers.
Ms. Laughlin was killed early Monday, September 25, 1961 in a one – car wreck on SH 18 south of Shawnee.
Born December 29, 1943 in Oklahoma City, she had lived in Shawnee nearly all of her life. She was a 1961 graduate of Shawnee high school and was employed as a dental receptionist.
She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Violet Laughlin, of the home; a twin sister, Mrs. Doris Martin of Wichita Falls, Texas; a brother, James Laughlin, in the Army in Germany; two half – brothers, Orville and Bluford Laughlin, both of Harrah; and two half – sisters, Mrs. Cloma Hoekstra and Mrs. Lucille Stites, both of Oklahoma City.
