RUBY JEAN SHERWIN KOLAR

December 18, 1922 - October 14, 2017

Ruby Jean Sherwin Kolar, 94, of Shawnee passed away October 14, 2017. She was born on December 18, 1922 in Oklahoma to Roy and Annie Simpson. Ruby retired from the Shawnee Public Schools after many years of service. She was very talented and enjoyed oil painting.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Jess Lee Sherwin Jr.; second husband, Alfred Kolar; brother, Otis Simpson; sister, Hazel Jones; and son-in-law, Don Atteberry.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Patricia London (Don), Carolyn Kay Atteberry, and Jeannie Carey (Steve); grandchildren: Kim Trussell (Randy), Kathy Mailot (Kevin), Krystal Baldwin (Robb), Jason Atteberry, and Makinzie Oden (Joel); 9 great grandchildren; sisters: Georgie Branscum, Fran Stidham, and Mary Lou Bowland; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Resthaven Memorial Park.
