Jack Levi Hickman went to be with his Lord, March 11, 2019.

He began his life in Shawnee, OK on March 13, 1926, the only child of Ollie and Alta Hickman. He left high school to serve his country honorably in the Navy during WWII on the USS Wantuck. After returning, he was determined to get his diploma, where he met the love of his life, Wilma, in English class. Later, they eloped and had 71 wonderful years together.

Jack retired from Tinker AFB and enjoyed spending time with his loving wife, spoiling his sons and playing Rook. After his sons went out into the world, Jack and Wilma then devoted their time to the next baby in the family, Buttons.

Jack was a devoted member of the Church of Christ, first at East Main in Shawnee, then Northridge Church of Christ where Jack served as the Director of World Bibles for Christ for 35 years, and then settling into the congregation at Highland Church of Christ after their move to Tecumseh.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Alta, his beloved grandson, Jacob, and great-grandson Samuel.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Wilma, of the home; his son, Cecil and wife Brenda, his grandson, Eric and wife Mindy, and great-grandson Dax.

Jack is also survived by his son, Tracy Hartzler and wife Liz; his granddaughter Kimberlee and husband Jason, great-grandchildren Jackson and Addison; his granddaughter Katie and husband Jack and great-grandchildren Gunnar, Annika, and Anders; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and church family. Special thanks to Roberta and Meghan Richards for all their help, care and loving support.
