Mable Marie Harry, age 93, of Oklahoma City, OK passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 in Oklahoma City. She was born August 13, 1927 in Fowler, Kansas to Roy James Ellis and Catherine Ophelia (Woodward) Ellis. Mable was raised in Santa Rosa, NM and graduated from Albuquerque High school in 1944, the founding year of that high school.

Mable married Glenn R. Harry on November 9, 1949 in Albuquerque, NM. Mable and Glenn began their family in Albuquerque, NM, but Glenn’s work took the family to Denver, CO and eventually to Ponca City, OK. After a 37 year career with Conoco, Glenn retired in May 1985. Mable and Glenn spent their retirement years living in Ponca City, OK; Las Vegas, NV; Edmond, OK; and finally Oklahoma City, OK.

Mable and Glenn enjoyed many years of traveling throughout the United States and Canada. Some of Mable’s most cherished travel memories were cruising with family and friends. She also enjoyed knitting, cross stitching, working puzzles, and playing games.

Mable was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years who was the love of her life, her parents, and her brother Roy James Ellis, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her one daughter Susan Atencio of Arvada, CO; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joey and Shelly Harry of Edmond, OK and Robert and Malena Harry of Glendale, AZ; grandchildren, Dianna and Paul Brunner, David Atencio, Darrick and Angela Atencio, Jennifer and Tyler Moffett, Jessica and Chase Kuwitzky, Brianna and Justin Harper, Caitlin Harry, Dustin Harry and Wade Zolko; 13 great grandchildren as well as numerous other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Cooper Funeral Home.

A service celebrating Mable’s life will be held at 12:00 noon, Thursday, December 31, 2020 in the Historic Chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13313 N. Kelley Ave., Oklahoma City, OK, 73131 with Pastor Tyler Moffett, officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
