Gene Aldon Burrows

September 17, 1941 ~ February 22, 2024

Gene Aldon Burrows was born on September 17, 1941 to Sybil (Smith) Dombek in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He passed from this life, at his home in Shawnee, Oklahoma with his loving family by his side.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Patricia of 39 years; 3 step-children and children with Pat, James, Janette, Jason Lorkwood; Janette's children, Michael and Kevin; Jason's wife, Sara and their two children, Hailey and Blake. He was a proud father of four living children, Darla, who has 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; Sheila, who has 1 child and 2 grandchildren; Gene Jr., who has 2 children, Bryan and wife, who have one child and 2 grandchildren, and Destinee, who has one cafe in Earlsboro.

Gene was preceded in death by 2 ex-wives; Marcella Burrows; son, Wade Burrows; Fran Dunagon; son, Aaron Keith Burrows; 2 grandsons, and 1 great-grandson.

His cheerful attitude and bright smile will be truly missed.

A visitation for Gene will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home, 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801. A committal service will follow the funeral service in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery..
