EVA LEMONS WISDOM STOLZ

25 Sep 1935 - 6 Jul 2013

Eva Lemons (Wisdom) Stolz, passed from this life July 6, 2013, surrounded by several family members. She was born September 25, 1935 in Marlow, Oklahoma to D.C. and Bonnie Lemons.

Eva graduated high school in Asher, Oklahoma and later worked for many years at the Solo Cup Company of Ada. She attended the Church of Christ in Asher, where she met and fell in love with Eddie Stolz, who had been preaching at the church there for a number of years. They were married on June 19, 1993, and celebrated 20 very happy years together.

Eva was loved by everyone who knew her. She was always thoughtful and kind and she loved serving others. She never failed to keep herself and her home clean and beautiful. Eva was the epitome of the word “lovely.” Her inner beauty was the loveliest part of her. She rejoiced in her family and in the love of her husband. Words cannot begin to express our gratitude to God for allowing us to have such a beautiful person in our midst.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Wisdom; by her father Dalva Lemons; her mother, Bonnie Lemons; her brother, Curtis Lemons; and a granddaughter, Esther Wisdom.

Eva is survived by her loving husband Eddie Stolz; her daughter Cathy Wisdom; her sons Eddy, David and Freddy Wisdom and wife Jeanne; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her four step children, Gary and Mark Stolz, Benay Deckard, and Amy Rea; ten step grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren.

Special thanks to many ladies of the Alameda Church of Christ, senior companions and respite care workers of Sunbeam Family Services, and the staff of Heartland Hospice for the loving assistance given prior to Eva’s passing.

Donations may be made in Eva Stolz’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 151 48th Ave., SE, Norman, OK 73072 or to the Alameda Church of Christ.

Visitation will be 3:00pm-8:00pm on Thursday, July 11 with the family greeting friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Services will be held Friday, July 12 at 10:00 am, at the Alameda Church of Christ, 1501 E. Alameda, in Norman. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm (same day) at the Oak Grove Cemetery just outside of Asher, Oklahoma.

Arrangements for Eva and her family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman. Online condolences may be shared at havenbrookfuneralhome.com.
