Jesse W. Decker, county resident since 1902, dies
Jesse Warren Decker, 41, who came to Pottawatomie county in 1902 from Roff, Oklahoma and was reared in Centerpoint and Cloverdate, died at 2:15 pm Sunday, July 25, 1943, at his home, one mile east of Pearson.
Survivors include is widow, Mrs. Esther Decker, a son, Herschel Decker, and three daughters, Geneva , LaVonne and Jerrie Decker, all of the family home; his mother, Mrs. L. F. Decker, Asher; three brothers, Lee Decker, Kansas City, Mo. George Decker, Asher and Earl Decker, Purcell; five sisters, Mrs. Lillie Simpkins, Stratford, Mrs. Julia Burrows, Shawnee, Mrs. Laura Wampler, Bell Zoni, Miss, Mrs. Jenny Sullivan and Mrs. Desrah Hulsey, both of Asher.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am today at the Oak Grove Church, with Rev. Albert Lowther, Tulsa, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Bearers will be Virgil Richardson, Tom Lynn, Whitie Holland and Parker Sullivan. Cooopers of Tecumseh are in charge of arrangements.
