BLANCHE NEVA WILSON
1917 - 2010


SHAWNEE, Okla. — Shawnee resident Blanche Neva Wilson died Thursday, August 5, 2010 in Shawnee at the age of 92.
She was born October 12, 1917, in Shawnee to Roy Reynolds and Ruby and Noah Casey.
Blanche attended Shawnee High School graduating with the class of 1935.
She was a bookkeeper at the following places: fifteen years at Shawnee Tag Agent, Oscar Hanes, State Office of Motor Vehicle Department three years, Department of Human Services for seven years, Zales Jewelers for ten years, she retired in 1985.
Blanche had worked as a welder in shipyards during World War II, and three years in restaurant business with husband Jack Wilson.
She married Homer R. Dubler in 1936 and then Jack B. Wilson in 1961.
Blanche belonged to several Bridge Clubs, Past President of Spanish American War Auxiliary, Past President of American Legion Auxiliary two times, Past President and charter member of VFW Auxiliary seven times and 4th District President three times.
She was still a member of American Legion Auxiliary.
Blanche also volunteered at the UHC and was also a former commissioner of the SHA.
She also belonged to Wesley Methodist Church and Hope Women's Circle.
She was preceded in death by her parents and both her husbands, aunts and cousins.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Don and Sharyl Dubler of Pt. Venture, Texas; and Noah “Jack” and Ann Dubler of Shawnee; eight grandsons, Rick and Lodena Dubler of Edmond; Mike and Debbie Dubler of Shawnee; Scott and Terri Ann Dubler of Wanette; Loyd and Michell Dubler of Florida; Alan and Connie Dubler of Germany; Casey and Tracy of North Carolina; and Shawn and Meredith Dubler of Texas; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great -grandchild; four step children, Pat Snider of Shawnee; Bernie and Ann Wilson of Tampa, Florida; Kay and Don Miller of Meeker; and Rita and Vinny DiCastro of Norman; sixteen step grandchildren and several step great-great-grandchildren and several cousins and many other friends and relatives.
The family will be at the funeral home Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to receive friends.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 9, at Resthaven Memorial Park with Larry Sparks officiating.
