WILMA JEAN WILLIAMSON
1928 - 2012


Wilma "Jean" Williamson, 83, of McLoud, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012, in Shawnee.
Wilma was born March 19, 1928 to Otto and Florence Fox Brown in Leedey. She graduated from Leedey High School and later married.
She moved to Oklahoma City where she raised her family.
Jean also lived in Henryetta, Stratford and Romulus. She returned to the family farm near Leedey for 11 years before moving to McLoud in 2002.
Jean was a clerk typist for the Internal Revenue Service for twenty two years. Upon retirement, she continued raising quarter horses.
She and her daughter Amy enjoyed riding with the Sooner Saddle Club.
Jean loved dogs and cats and never hesitated to pick up a stray. One of her biggest delights in life was traveling, which she did frequently later in life with her daughter, Mary Ann.
Jean loved the Lord and was ready to join Him.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Coy Brown; and granddaughter, Lacy Gray.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Campbell and Amy and husband, Roger Crockett, all of McLoud; six grandchildren, Jeanne Villalobos of Shawnee; Derriel Dennis of Oklahoma City; Sandra Highfill of Oklahoma City; Danielle Campbell of McLoud; Leah Dennis of McLoud; and Rowdy Smith of Shawnee; seven great grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 21, and continue through service time.
The family will gather from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, to meet with friends.
Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 22, at Living Word Church with Reverend J. Clifton Briscoe officiating.
Committal services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, at Shirley Cemetery near Leedey under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
