RONALD KEITH WILLIAMSON
1953 - 2004


Ronald Keith Williamson was born February 3, 1953 in Ada, the son of Roy and Juanita Caldwell Williamson.
He died in Broken Arrow on Saturday, December 4, 2004. He was 51 years of age.
Ron was a 1971 graduate of Asher, Oklahoma high school. He was an All-State selection who led Asher to two straight state titles in Baseball. He also played on the State championship basketball team in 1971. He was a 2nd round draft pick by the Oakland Athletic Baseball team in 1971.
He was wrongly incarcerated and convicted for 12 years, 9 of which was on death row in the State of Oklahoma Penitentiary in McAlester. He was exonerated and found innocent on April 15, 1999 with the help of competent diligent attorneys and investigators, with lead attorney Mark Barrett and DNA testing, proving his innocence and later proving and convicting the quilty person.
He received a diploma from Victory Bible Institute on July 4, 1994.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing the guitar.
Ron is survived by his sisters, Annette Hudson, Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Renee and husband Gary Simmons, Allen, Texas; niece, Keri and husband Cory Elliott, Plano, Texas; nephews, Michael and wife Angela Hudson, Springfield, Missouri; and Darren Simmons, Austin, Texas; great nieces, Taylor and Lindsey Hudson; and great nephews, Tristan, Logan and Ethan Elliott; as well as numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Juanita Williamson.
Funeral services for Ronald have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at the Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow. Rev. Ted Heaston will officiate, assisted by Chaplains Charles Story and Mark Barrett.
Burial will be at 4:00 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery, Ada, Oklahoma under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home.
The family requests memorials to Woodlake Assembly of God Church, Fine Arts Department, 7100 E. 31st, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145.
