DOUGLAS M. TEAL JR.
1953 - 2010


Shawnee resident Douglas M. "Wild Man" Teal, Jr., 56, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2010.
He was born November 22, 1953 in Brooksville, Oklahoma to Douglas Michael Teal, Sr. and Almeda Brown Teal.
He was raised in Brooksville and was a lifelong resident of the Shawnee and Brooksville areas. He was a graduate of Macomb Schools.
Douglas worked as a welder for ONG for 32 years before retiring. He loved to weld and build smokers.
He wrote poems and loved to be around family and friends. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include Larenia Teal-Bright of Shawnee, son and daughter-in-law, Michael Teal and Jamie Sun Eagle of Shawnee, six grandchildren, sisters, Brenda Teal and Jan Teal, brother, George Teal and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 15, at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Lee Oliver officiating.
Burial will be at Brooksville Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
