KENNETH STURMON
1923 - 1997


World War II Army veteran Kenneth Sturmon died Friday in Oklahoma City. He was 74.
Sturmon was born April 8, 1923, in Sparks, the son of Floyd and Georgia Collins Sturmon.
He was a Centerview community resident for the past two years and had lived in Del City.
He married Norma Denney on August 23, 1947, in Seminole.
Sturmon, a retired brickmason, was a member of the Garden Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Sturmon of the home; his mother, Georgia Sturmon of El Reno; one daughter and son-in-law, Kenda Kay and Rocky Earl of Garland, Texas; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ina and Rex Burney of El Reno; Melba Ogburn of Modesto, California; Wanda and Obie Salmon of Modesto, California; and Ailene Wooley of Houston, Texas; and one grandson, Marcus Earl of Garland, Texas.
Preceding him in death were his father; one brother, Roy Sturmon and one sister, Ethel Carson.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Garden Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Mack Peercy officiating.
Burial will be in Garden Grove Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.
