MERWYN ROY STRACENER
1935 - 2016


Merwyn Roy Stracener, age 80, of Harrah, Oklahoma was born on November 27, 1935, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was the son of Vernon Roy and Lois May Ryals Stracener. He left this life on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, in Harrah, Oklahoma.
Merwyn married Katherine Aynes on November 10, 1955, in Oklahoma City.
He received his Bachelors business degree from OCU and Bachelors music degree from OBU.
He retired from Tinker AFB where he was a branch chief commander.
Merwyn was a minister of music of the Baptist faith most of his life.
He enjoyed reading and camping.
Merwyn was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Eddie.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Stracener of Harrah, Oklahoma; three daughters and& sons-in-law, Debbie and Calvin Peeples of Harrah, Mary Kaye and Danny Pianalto of Choctaw, Oklahoma and Cyndi Collins of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother, David Stracener of Stoughton, Wisconsin; sister, Sheryl Stevens of Oklahoma City; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 23, 2016, at Countryside Baptist Church, Newalla, Oklahoma.
Interment will follow at Dale Cemetery, Dale, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, Oklahoma.
