HELEN RICHARDSON RUSSELL
1920 - 2016


Helen Pierce Richardson Russell, 95, of LaMarque, Texas, died April 22, 2016, at Bayou Pines Care Center. Helen was born July 25, 1920, in Eldorado, Kansas, to Chas and Grace Pierce.
Helen graduated high school in Shawnee.
She worked as a bookeeper in Shawnee and she and Roscoe operated R & D construction and Richland Park here in Shawnee. Later she relocated to Wilburton, Oklahoma, where she managed Latimer County Industrial Credit and raised cattle.
She married Roscoe E. Richardson in 1940. They had three children, Sandra Hall of Shawnee, Roaxanne Gray of Groesbeck, Texas and a son, Roscoe G. Richardson of Galveston, Texas; four grandchildren, Rusty Hall of Shawnee, Deidra Loveland of Shawnee, Grant Gray of Santa Fe, Texas and Leigh Gardner of Dickinson, Texas, and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 28, at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 29, at Resthaven Memorial Park.
