RUBY ROSS
1900 - 1997


Homemaker Ruby Gilbert Ross of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday at the age of 96.
Mrs. Ross was born October 28, 1900, in Brilliant, Alabama, the daughter of William David and Roxanna Logan Gilbert.
She was reared and attended school in Brilliant, Alabama; later living in California, Alabama, and Oklahoma.
On December 24, 1923, she married James Oscar Ross in Alabama. They lived in Alabama for several years in Kiowa County and in Romulus, where they farmed.
Mrs. Ross was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Martha Ann and Kirby Frymoyer of Cherry Valley, California; one son and daughter-in-law, Dempse and Linda Ross of Texarkana, Texas; one sister, Mary Weaver of Lincoln City, Oregon; one brother, Wilburn Gilbert of Carlsbad, California; six grandchildren, Mark Frymoyer, Aaron Ross, Ricky Ross, Dayna Barnes, Larry Beach and Gary Beach; four great-grandchildren, Heather Ross, Roger Beach, Madison Barnes and Haley Barnes, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband; one daughter, Nell Beach; one son, Penn Ross; one grandson, Roger Beach; two brothers; and seven sisters.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Bob Anderson officiating.
Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery.
