OZIE PARKER
1924 - 2005


Romulus resident Ozie Parker, 81, died Wednesday, December 14, in Romulus.
He was born June 6, 1924, in Perry, Arkansas, to Winston Parker.
He was reared in Arkansas and had lived in Romulus for the past 28 years.
Ozie served in the U. S. Navy and the U. S. Army during World War II.
In 1972 he married Betty Tracey McBride.
He bought and sold scrap metal and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Bonnie Parker; brother, Walter Clark; and two sisters, Ruth Owens and Esther Parker.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Parker of the home; five sons, Brad Parker and Ozie "Moge" Parker Jr, both of the home; Dan Parker of Pink; James Parker of the home; and Randy McBride of Asher; five daughters, Amanda Parker of the home; Mary Hussfeldt of Blanchard; Sue Ladd of Oklahoma City; Debbie Farrel of Ada; and Melinda McBride of Oklahoma City; numerous grandchildlren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be 10:00 a.m. today at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Darrell Witten officiating.
Burial will follow at Romulus Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
