JUBAL MURDOCK
1945 - 2007

McLoud resident Jubal "Pennock" Murdock, 62, passed away Wednesday, March 21, in McLoud.
Pennock was born on March 17, 1945, to Earnest and Juanita Murdock.
He was the youngest brother to Mitchell Murdock, Diane White, Vickie Logan and Myron "Mach" Murdock.
Pennock was born and lived in McLoud until the age of nine. He then moved with his family to California as part of the Indian Relocation Program.
After high school, Pennock enlisted in the U. S. Army with his best-friend and brother, Gilbert Salas. He served a two year tour in Germany.
Upon discharge, Pennock decided to return to his roots and moved back to McLoud. He resided at the home of Henryetta Bentley Walker. Pennock began working at Tinker Air Force Base as an Accessories Mechanic and remained there for twenty three years. He retired December 31, 2006, due to illness.
Pennock married and lived a joyful life with his sweetheart, Lela Walker.
Survivors include his wife, Lela Walker-Murdock; his daughter, Ursula Hill; his sonny-boy, Guy Walker; two granddaughters, Darian and Reagan Hill; many other extended family who loved and cared for him.
Traditional service was held Wednesday at the home of Jubal Murdock and Lela Walker.
Pennock will be remembered as a happy go lucky kind of guy. He brought smiles and great laughter wherever he went. He worked hard and played hard. His passion for music touched all of our lives. He will be missed dearly by all who knew. As Pennock would say, That'll do!"
