Verda Estelee Morgan

Verda Estelee Morgan, 89, of Shawnee, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at her home. The oldest of ten children, she was born on June 25, 1927 in Appleton, Arkansas to Osben Ogden “Jack” Tucker and Mary Nova (Ramsey) Tucker.

Verda married Paul Edward Morgan on July 13, 1946, in Oklahoma City. A 34 year resident of Shawnee, she was a homemaker and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Shawnee. She was a member of the congregation for 60 years and was baptized in 1956.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Fern and Karen; four sisters; two brothers; and three grandchildren.

Verda is survived by her husband of 70 years, Paul Morgan of Shawnee; two daughters, Glenda Daniels of Meeker and Paulette Morgan Dunagan of Texas; one son, Leroy Morgan of Oklahoma City; a granddaughter who she raised, Kathiy Morgan of Shawnee; 25 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; 37 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Fay and Fern; one brother, Coy; and many other relatives and friends.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
