VERNON McGEE
1914 - 2007


Cromwell, Oklahoma resident Vernon McGee died Thursday, January 4 in Seminole at the age of 92.
He was born June 16, 1914, in Macomb to Jessee Tee and Mary Alice Black McGee.
Born and raised on the family farm in Macomb, he lived in California for many years before moving to Cromwell in 1980. He was a graduate of Macomb High School.
On October 18, 1980, he married Irene Adams in Tulsa.
He served with the U.S. Army in Germany during World War II.
Vernon worked as a secuity guard and fireman at Lockheed Missiles in Van Nuys, California and Manteca Magnesium Plant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Adams McGee of the home; sons, Vernon Eugene McGee of Edgewater, Colorado; Melvin Lewis McGee of Oklahoma City; Bobby Lee McGee of Las Vegas, Nevada; twelve grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren.
Service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery.
