DALE MELTON McDIVITT
1926 - 2002


Dale Melton McDivitt, 76, lifelong Bethel Acres resident, died Wednesday in Oklahoma City.
He was born March 23, 1926, in Britton, Oklahoma to Harold and Jewell McDivitt.
On February 1, 1945, he married Ina Ruth Seaborn in Davenport.
He attended Valley View Grade School and graduated from Shawnee High School.
McDivitt co-owned Squirrel Creek Mobile Home Park in Bethel Acres.
He was a member of the Blackburn Chapel Baptist Church and past president of the Oklahoma State Future Farmers of America.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Harold W. McDivitt Jr.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth, of the home; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Laqueda and Jim Steward of Shawnee; Cindy and Ken Armstrong of Bethel Acres; and Janet Clark, Shawnee; son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Terri McDivitt, Tecumseh; ten grandchildren and their spouses, Darren and Sharlyn Steward; Tammy and Chris Cox; Aaron Clark and fiancee Crystal Adney; Kristi and Jason Springer; Desi Clark, Chase Armstrong, Kyle McDivitt, Ross Clark, Jessica McDivitt and Kelsie Armstrong; six great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. today at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. John Mixon officiating.
Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.
