LEON MANKIN
1929 - 2012


Leon Mankin, age 83, of Harrah, Oklahoma was born on July 5, 1929, in Dale, Oklahoma.
Leon left this life on Thursday, November 22, 2012, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He was the son of Ephriam P. and Lula Mae Nelson Mankin.
Leon graduated from Dale High School and attended O.B.U.
He married Wynema Jo Crabtree Bugg on September 25, 1956 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.
Leon served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as an installer and retired from AT&T. He served as commander of the McLoud American Legion, and was a member of the Shawnee Elks Lodge. Leon also enjoyed golf and dominoes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jo Mankin of Harrah, Oklahoma; one son and daughter -in-law, Marshall Bugg and wife Cherie of Newalla, Oklahoma; sister, Lucille Russell of Midwest City, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Todd and Melissa Bugg; and Michael and Amber Bugg; and two special great nieces Tamara Brawdy and Kevina Foreman; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November, 27, 2012 at McLoud Riverside Cemetery in McLoud, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, Oklahoma.
