REBECCA LULA LOVE
1912 - 1998


Rebecca Lula Love died Saturday at her Shawnee home. She was 86.
She was born January 15, 1912, in Brooksville to the Rev. James and Alice Love.
She attended school in Brooksville and Dunbar High School in Shawnee. She graduated from Los Angeles City Adult School in California. She had worked in the clothing industry as a seamstress and, after graduating from college, she worked with the Los Angeles School system until her retirement. She returned to Shawnee after living in Long Beach and Los Angeles for 50 years.
She was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are her nieces, Joyce Broadous, Etta Tubbs and Gloria York, all of Shawnee; Alice Leatherman of Brooksville and Evelyn Vinson of Sacramento, California; nephews, Alfalo Bray of Shawnee, Willie Lee "Buster" Bray of Spencer, Lawrence Love, Veryal Love, Carl Love and Howard Love all of Detroit, Michigan; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Brooksville Cemetery with the Rev. C.E. Broadous officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Keller Funeral Home of Wewoka.
