TOM LIPINSKI
1945 - 2000


Former Shawnee resident Tom Lipinski of Harrah died Monday. He was 54.
Mr. Lipinski was born September 14, 1945, in San Fernando, California to Thomas and Helen Goddard Lipinski.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served on the Nicoma Park/Harrah 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Council. He also served as past grand knight of the Edmond Council, district deputy, state warden, state advocate, faithful navigator of the 4th Degree of the Edmond Council and past grand knight of the Harrah Council. He was instrumental in organizing the Chandler/Meeker Council and was currently serving as trustee of the Nicoma Park/Harrah Knights of Columbus Council.
He graduated from St. Gregory's College with an associate of science degree.
After serving four years in the U. S. Navy as a clinical laboratory technician, he attended East Central Oklahoma State University and received a bachelor of science degree. He then became senior agriculture resources inspector of the Oklahoma State Department of Agriculture.
Survivors include his wife, Judy, of the home; two daughters, Angela Lawson, Texas; Leslie Sullivan, Tennessee; sister, Susan Lipinski, Shawnee; six grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild.
Wake services were held Wednesday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church.
Mass will be 10:00 a.m. today at St. Teresa's.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Shawnee under the direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service.
