JACOB LAMPGES JR.
1912 - 2007


McLoud resident Jacob "Jake" Lempges Jr., 94, died Monday, March 5, in a local nursing home.
Jake was born July 10, 1912, in McLoud to Jacob Lempges and Josephine Wozniak.
He married Edna Scheidt.
Jake was a farmer and a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife; sisters, Lucia Hull, Millie Mason, Marie Beaver; brothers, Frank Lempges, and Steve Lempges; grandson, Jacob Todd Sparks; great-granddaughter, Brittney Sparks.
Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia Godwin and husband, Gary, of McLoud; and Reta Sparks and husband, Kenny, of McLoud; grandchildren, Lori Long and husband, Bobby; Traci Murphy and husband, Jay; Stephanie Brown and husband, Josh; Melanie Sparks and Jason Sparks; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Morgan and Dalton Long, Sheridan, Jordan and Ryland Murphy, Joshua, Chloee and Jacob Brown and Brooklyn Sparks; in-laws, Ed and Grace Brzozwski, Opal Wright and Frank Scheidt; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, McLoud, with Father Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S.B., and Father Eugene Marshall officiating.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Central Oklahoma Chapter, 2601 NW Expressway, Suite 613 East, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73112.
