ALICE EMMA LEATHERMAN
1935 - 2013


Alice Emma Bray Leatherman went to be with her heavenly Father on Thursday, March 14, 2013, after a lengthy illness.
The daughter of Viola and Alfalo Bray was born December 16, 1935, in Shawnee.
She graduated from Dunbar High School.
She dedicated her life to the Lord and caring for her family. She was a member of Union Baptist Church for more than 40 years.
She was an employee of Sears for more than 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 40 years, Wilbur A. Leatherman, sister, Joyce Broadus and brother, Willie Bray.
She leaves to cherish her memory her great aunt, Liz Olson, sister-in-law, Johnetta Phillips, five children and their spouses, Ycedra and Ken Daughty Sr., Sheryl and Dennis Milton, Anita and Eddie Taylor, Tina and Clarence Booker and Wilbur Jr. and Camara Leatherman, siblings, Etta Tubbs, Alfalo Bray and Gloria York. Also honoring her memory are three step-children, Ruth Marie Coats, Ronnie Hale and Pat Wright, twenty eight grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 21, at Union Missionary Baptist Church in Shawnee {123 E. Farrell}.
Burial in Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee.
