TONY LYNN LANDON
1951 - 2016


Tony Lynn Landon, 64, of Palmer, Alaska and Wanette, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016.
He was born December 5, 1951 in Purcell to Loyse and Arizona Landon.
Tony graduated from Edmond High School.
He served honorably in the Oklahoma National Guard.
Tony worked as a broker in the grocery business for several years and later owned and operated the historic Landon Hardware in Wanette, Oklahoma.
He moved to Alaska nearly 20 years ago where he worked in facility and water management in the extreme conditions on various islands off the coast and in the villages of the North Slope Borough.
Tony loved the outdoors and split his time between the farm in Oklahoma and his vacation cabin built with friends and family near Mt. McKinley in Alaska. He loved operating heavy equipment and he was happiest spending a day at the farm on the dozer.
Survivors include his son, Heath Landon of Wanette; sisters, Darlene Puckett and Gail Hackett; brother-in-law, Johnny Keesee; niece, Janna Jarman and her husband Gary; great-nephews, Jesse Jarman and his wife Kristen and Justin Puckett; great-nieces, Beth Smith and Kayleigh Barton and her husband Payton; father-in-law, Reed Brooks; brothers-in-law, Ralph Horn and his wife Mary, Jesse Horn and his wife Susie and Gil Brooks; sister-in-law, Judy McLemore and her husband Rob; nephews, Ken, Tim, Patrick and Jessie Alan Horn, Tyler and Mason McLemore and Reed Brooks; nieces, Carrie Ann Bastyr, Cassidy Hubbard, Amy Christophorou and Laura Adams, along with many other extended family and friends.
He was preceded by his parents, Loyse and Arizona Landon; former wife, Margaret Landon-Boese; niece, Terri Puckett and nephew, Kent Puckett.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2016. Casket will be closed with no viewing.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
