BILLY VERNON LAM
1934 - 2002


Billy "Vernon" Lam, 68, Tecumseh, died Wednesday in Oklahoma City.
He was born March 22, 1934, in Wanette to Lonnie J. and Cora Miller Lam. He was reared in Wanette, Trousdale and Shawnee.
On September 26, 1979, he married Mary Ellen Fisher in El Reno.
Following his marriage, he lived in Shawnee and Tecumseh. He owned and operated Lam Auto Supply in Shawnee and later worked for Dolese Brothers in Oklahoma City as a parts man of the central shop. He retired in 1996.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his father-in-law, Charlie Fisher.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ellen Lam of the home; mother-in-law, Beatrice Fisher of Tecumseh; two sisters and three brothers-in-law, Patsy and Don Price of Malvern, Arkansas, Percilla and Jerry Smith of Stratford and Richard Knight of Oklahoma City; aunt, Grace Baker of Wanette and special friends Gerald, Gina and Kelby Rounsaville of Tecumseh; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Don Price officiating.
Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.
