SARAH KERNOP
1985 - 2015


Sarah Maxon Kernop, 29, former resident of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in Clinton, Oklahoma.
She was born February 28, 1985 to John and Donna Faye Smith Maxon in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Sarah was raised in Tecumseh and attended Tecumseh Public Schools. She graduated with the class of 2003 from Tecumseh High School.
She has lived for the past 6 months in Clinton.
She married Cory Kernop on October 10, 2010 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Sarah began working at an early age with her first job at the Sonic on Hardesty Road and Hwy 177. She worked as a supervisor at Convergous Call Center, Citi Bank, and Southwest, and most recently at Allegiance.
She was a member of the former Church of the Living God in Shawnee.
Sarah loved scrapbooking and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Buford Smith; and her paternal grandfather, J. D. Maxon.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Cory Kernop of the home; parents, John and Donna Maxon of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Carole Maxon of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; nephew and niece, Jordan and Chelsea Maxon of Shawnee; and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will begin 12:00 noon, Friday, January 30, 2015 and continue through service time. Family gathering to meet with friends will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 30, 2015 at Cooper Funeral Home.
Service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Evangelistic Center Church with Reverend Mark McIntosh of Evangelistic Center Church and Reverend Keith Ward officiating.
Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
