Marvin Earl Jones
Marvin Earl Jones, 91, of Amarillo, died Sunday, March 5, 2000.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell Ave., with the Rev. Kevin Hull, executive senior pastor of Refuge Worship Center, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Mr. Jones was born in Franklin, Ark. In 1958 he moved to Amarillo from Silverton. He was a brick tender in construction.
Survivors include a son, Marvin Elroy Jones of Shawnee, Okla.; a stepson, Bobby Turner of Arkansas; a daughter, Carrie Sue McDaniel of Lubbock; a brother, Wendel Jones of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Jewel Wright of Oklahoma City and Lena Ferguson of Commerce; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice.
