LEROY HOWLAND
1940 - 2016


Leroy Howland, age 75, of Choctaw, Oklahoma was born on December 28, 1940, in Woodward, Oklahoma.
He was the son of Floyd Lyle and Lucile Miller Howland. He left this life on Thursday, February 25, 2016, in Norman, Oklahoma.
Leroy graduated from Woodward High School and attended Alva College.
He married Connie Wiegert on September 1, 1990, in Oklahoma City.
He worked in quality control and retired from Tinker AFB.
Leroy was a member of Choctaw Road Baptist Church in Choctaw, Oklahoma.
He enjoyed tinkering with classic cars, especially Fords and was an avid Nascar fan and OU football ticket holder for 25 years.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Dawn Howland.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Howland of Choctaw, three sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Gwen Howland of Edmond, Oklahoma, Michael and Felicia Strange of Choctaw, Oklahoma and Mark and Tiffani Strange of Guthrie, Oklahoma; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Jerry Hansen of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Julia and John Samson of Lexington, Kentucky, brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Marilyn Howland of Woodward, Oklahoma, eighteen grandchildren, Shelby, Haley, Chase, Kaci, Edward, Allison, Wyatt, Hannah, Coby, Breyer, Laura, Evan, Faith, Heather, Jonathan, Lacie, Bob and Denver and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Choctaw Road Baptist Church, Choctaw, Oklahoma.
Interment will follow at Dale Cemetery, Dale, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
