SYBEL HARRISON
1899 - 2001


Sybel Harris Harrison of Konawa died Tuesday in Shawnee. She was 102.
She was born April 8, 1899, in Asher to Emma Anderson and Jim Harris. She married L. C. Harrison on April 20, 1920, in Tecumseh.
She was raised in Konawa and was a teacher.
Mrs. Harrison was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, lifetime member of the Oklahoma and National Education Associations, member of the Soil Conservation Board, the Oklahoma Century Club, the Avoca Cemetery Board, and was an active supporter of the American Legion and Konawa Library. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, L. C. and Jacquelyn Harrison, Shawnee; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Konawa Cemetery under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Burns officiating.
