ORA MAE HARRIS
1919 - 1997


Okmulgee resident Ora Mae Harris died Sunday in a Tulsa hospital. She was 78.
Mrs. Harris was born February 1, 1919, in Morris, Oklahoma, to James and Cecil Nichols Rains.
She married Ralph Harris on August 14, 1953, and worked at Safeway Foods as a cashier for several years.
She was a member of the Victory Park Baptist Church in McAlester and also attended the First Baptist Church in Okmulgee.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Ginger Harris of McAlester; two daughters, Jo Ellen Harris and Judy Frank, both of Tulsa; four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Kelley Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee with the Rev. Terry Sledge officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee under the direction of Kelley Funeral Home, Okmulgee.
Visitation will be from noon until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
