BARTON GLEN EDMISTON
1918 - 1998


Wellston resident Barton Glen Edmiston died Monday at his home. He was 79.
Mr. Edmiston was born September 18, 1918, in Henderson, Texas, to Eli and Elizabeth English Edmiston.
He married Sadie Halfmann on December 25, 1942, at Camp Edwards, Massachusetts.
He was a manager at the Coca-Cola Bottling Plant in San Angelo, Texas, and in Oklahoma City. He was also a driver for Sun Ray DX in Oklahoma City.
He served in the U. S. Army from 1942 to 1945 and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Sadie Edmiston, of the home; son, Mike Edmiston, Wellston; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Kathleen Edmiston, and his parents.
A Christian wake will be 7:00 p.m. today at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, McLoud.
Services will be 9:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church with Father Eugene Marshall officiating.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
