MYRA MADGE DOCKREY
1908 - 1999


Shawnee resident Madge Edwards Dockrey died Thursday at a local hospital. She was 91.
Mrs. Dockrey was born March 4, 1908, in Farris, Oklahoma to Thomas Henry and Mary Bell Dickerson Edwards.
She married Pascal George "Dute" Dockrey in Shawnee in 1926. They farmed together north of Shawnee.
Mrs. Dockrey moved to Shawnee with her family in 1915. She was a homemaker and the eighth of eleven children.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Grant and Letha Jo Dockrey and Larry and Glenda Ruth Dockrey; grandchildren and spouses, Dace and Sharon Dockrey, Jack and Connie Dockrey, Scott Dockrey, Luke and Angela Dockrey, Sherry and Tim Haslam, Cindy King, Garry and Kellie Dockrey and Matt Short; her sister, Ann Bayliss; sister-in-law, Dovie Edwards; brother-in-law, Lynn Laster; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1982; her son, Garry Bruce Dockrey in 1964 and nine brothers and sisters.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. today with the Rev. Reed Lynn officiating.
Burial will be at Centerville Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
