EDWIN EARL DECKER
1912 - 1980


Services for Earl Decker, 67, of Route 1, Asher, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday in Cooper Funeral Chapel, Tecumseh, with Rev. George Bone, pastor of the Pearson Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Decker died early Wednesday morning in his home following an extended illness.
Born August 25, 1912, near Asher, he was reared in the Saint Louis area and attended school at Cloverdale. Later Mr. Decker attended school and lived in Stratford. He also attended Draughon School of Business.
Mr. Decker was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Navy. He had lived in Moore and was a grocer.
Mr. Decker returned to the Asher area in 1972.
He was a member of the Church of Christ in Moore.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Lillie M. Simpkins, Stratford; Mrs. Julia Ann Burrows, Ada; Mrs. Jennie B. Sullivan, Asher; also twenty five nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends.
