BEMA MARIE COX
1930 - 2016


Bema Marie Carroll Cox was born Tuesday, June 17, 1930 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Robert Lee and Ella Mae Sears Carroll.
She died in Norman, Oklahoma on Saturday, May 7, 2016.
Bema grew up in a Salvation Army Church and was a Christian.
She worked for many years for American Optical. At American Optical, Bema worked as a technician, grinding lenses, and later retired from there.
She used to like working puzzles and doing word find games.
Bema was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings, her daughter, Ella Mae Cossairt and her husband of fifty years, Douglas John Cox, whom she loving called "John D.".
Survivors include her brother, Russell E. Carroll, granddaughters, Angie Calton and Michelle Grogan, great granddaughter, Isabella Grogan and loving neighbors and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Wanette Cemetery with Rev. Leon Wilson officiating.
Services are under the direction of Vondel L. Smith Mortuary, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
