EVELYN LORENE COULTER
1923 - 2011


Evelyn Lorene Kirkpatrick Coulter, 88 of Del City passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's.
She was born November 25, 1923 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to O.C. and Lillian Kirkpatrick.
Her family moved to Wanette, Oklahoma in 1930 where she was reared and educated as well as a member of First Baptist Church of Wanette.
After completing high school in 1941, she attended Draughon's Business College in Oklahoma City and then in a secretarial capacity for J. Edgar Hoover with the FBI's headquarters located in Washington, D.C. for nearly two years.
She returned to Wanette to marry her high school sweetheart, Charles Coulter "Charlie", who worshiped and adored her, in August of 1944 after he returned home on a short furlough from the war.
Years later she moved to Oklahoma City/Del City where she remained a homemaker and raised her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents and husband of 49 years, Charles Coulter.
She is survived by her sons, Randy Coulter, Guy and daughter-in-law Peggy Coulter; daughter, Deborah and son-in-law Robert Miller; brothers, Don and Charles Kirkpatrick and sisters, Pat Cannon and Mary Jane Langston. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Theresa and husband Luke Gregory, Jason Miller, Nathan Miller and Hayley Miller; great grandchildren, Katie and Carly Gregory.
Evelyn will be remembered for her beauty, grace and captivating beautiful blue eyes.
Graveside services will be conducted by Ford Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Wanette Cemetery in Wanette, Oklahoma.
