RALPH VERNON CONLEY
1915 - 1997


Shawnee resident Ralph Vernon Conley died Sunday at a local hospital. He was 82.
Mr. Conley was born February 4, 1915, in Wanette, to Torence and Lona Hutchinson Conley.
He lived most of his life in Wanette and attended Wanette schools. He had lived in Shawnee the past fifteen years.
He was a pumper in the oil fields and also a farmer. Conley served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star, the American Legion, the AARP and a member of the Wanette Methodist Church.
Survivors include four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Mary Ann Burton and Sue and Herbert Melot, all of Shawnee; Bonnie and Bill Walker of Guymon; Barbara and Otis Vanderpool of Wichita, Kansas; four brothers and sisters-in-law, E. P. and Laverne Conley of Purcell; T. E. Jr. and Edra Conley of Wanette; Ike and Shirley Conley of Dallas, Texas; and Delbert and Dorothy Conley of Oklahoma City; and several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Nema Williams and Evelyn Beason.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wanette Methodist Church with Dale Durnell officiating.
Burial will be at Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
