RANDELL LEO COMPTON
1949 - 2015


Randell Leo Compton died November 23, 2015 in Purcell at the age of 66 years, 3 months and 4 days.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel.
Interment will follow at Wanette Cemetery under the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Randell was born August 19, 1949 in Trousdale, Oklahoma to Claude and Jessie Mae Peltier Compton.
He was raised and attended school in Wanette.
Randell married Doris Jean Idlett on May 1, 1973 in Gainesville, Texas, and made their home in the Lexington/Wanette area.
He was a hard working general contractor who took pride in his work.
He enjoyed many activities, but spending time with his family, grilling out and at family reunions was his favorite. He loved the family Sunday dinner time.
Randell also enjoyed hunting, playing volleyball, playing games, and was always telling stories. He spent many years on the School Board, and enjoyed going to livestock shows and supporting the FFA. He was always helping others when and where he could.
he enjoyed playing Farkle with Doris and accused her of cheating when he didn’t win a hand.
Randell is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Jesse Compton; brother, John Wayne Compton; and granddaughter, Tori Compton.
Survivors include his wife Doris; daughters, Bonnie Gregg and husband, Darrell, Tina Burden and Teresa Compton; brother, Claude Delane Compton and wife, Paula; sisters, Shirley Black and husband, Chester and Karen Aguilar and husband, Sonny; grandchildren, Rebecca Compton, Brooklyn Burden, Emily Gregg, Jacob Gregg and Billy Hinkle; great grandchild, Hank Hinkle and many other relatives and friends.
