RICKY PAUL CARTER
1961 - 1997


Shawnee resident Ricky Paul Carter died September 21 in Wanette. He was 36.
He was born September 7, 1961, in Oklahoma City, to William Cecil and Dorothy Carter.
He attended Dale and Wanette High School, graduating in 1979.
He served with the U. S. Army from 1980 to 1983.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Nicholas of Shawnee; seven brothers and four sisters-in-law, Kenneth Carter of Anadarko; Ronald C. Carter of San Bruno, California; T. L. and Alice Carter of Ada; David and Cindy Carter of Dale; Richard Carter of Shawnee; Dean and Kristeena Carter of Shawnee; and Kelly and Chong Carter of Norman; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Cecelia and John Plunkett of Shawnee; Carole Carter of Norman; and Kay Wasson of Shawnee; a stepsister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Roy Loman of Meeker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Michael Scott Carter and his stepfather, Frank Nicholas.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at Dale Cemetery with Jonathan McBee officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home in Tecumseh.
