SHERRY LEE BURNS
1963 - 2005


Tecumseh resident Sherry Lee Green Burns, 42, died Saturday, March 12, in Missouri.
She was born February 7, 1963, in Anaheim, California, to Richard K. and Jeanette J. Hutchinson Green.
On June 13, 1981, she married Ray Burns in Orange County, California. They lived in Orange County, California, until after the birth of their first child in 1982 when they moved to Tecumseh.
She was a registered nurse and was currently working at Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center in Tecumseh.
She was an active member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Tecumseh, where she worked with the Flight Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her mother; her grandmother,Helen Harryman; and her father-in-law, John Burns.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Burns of the home; one daughter and her fiancee, Crystal Burns of Tecumseh; and Nick Hess of Poteau; one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Sarah Burns of Tecumseh; Father Richard K. Green of Orange, California; one sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Mark Sederoff of Orange, California; one brother Richard K. Green II of Kansas City, Kansas; mother-in-law Millie Burns of Tecumseh; brother-in-law, Bill Burms of Tecumseh; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Chapel, Tecumseh, with the Rev. Fred Owens officiating.
Burial will follow at Old Moral Cemetery.
Cooper Funeral Home is directing arrangements.
