JUDY RAYE BUCHANAN
1948 - 2016


Tecumseh resident Judy Raye Courtney Buchanan, 65, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016, in Shawnee.
She was born May 26, 1950, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Ben and Vera Hyatt Courtney.
She met and married the love of her life, Billy Buchanan, and together they raised four sons.
Judy was passionate in her belief in God. She lived her life dedicated to the principles she believed so strongly in. She loved her grandchildren and would spend all year shopping for them so that Christmas was a magical event and she could see their eyes light up.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and son, Nathaniel Clint Buchanan.
She is survived by her sons, Brian Buchanan, Eric Buchanan and Aaron Buchanan; grandchildren, Matthew Cook, Amanda Cook, Michael Buchanan, Trent Buchanan and Mallory Buchanan; siblings, Freda Courtney, Larry Courtney, Martha and Christopher Cerny and Dan Courtney; as well as numerous other family and friends.
Visitation will be 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 18, at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, at Free Indeed Revival Ministries with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
