OPAL MARIE BROWN
1917 - 2008


SHAWNEE, Okla. — Opal Marie Brown, born August 17, 1917 to Elzora and Adolph Brown, died Saturday, November 1, 2008.
Opal grew up in Ardmore, Oklahoma and graduated from Ardmore High School.
She lived most of her adult life in Dallas, Texas where she worked for Texas Instruments. She served as Executive Secretary to three different Vice Presidents of the company before retiring in 1982. After retirement she moved to Shawnee where she lived until moving to Norman in 2007.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ores Brown.
She is survived by her niece, Judy Brawner; great-niece, Nicole Sterling and her husband Weston Sterling and great-great nephew Caleb Sterling, all of Norman.
Gratitude to Dr. Thomas Merrill, the staff at Arbor House Assisted Living Center and Loving Care Hospice.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee, Oklahoma.
