VIOLET LELA BROOK
1910 - 1998


Former Tecumseh resident Violet Lela Branson Brock, 88, died Wednesday in a Ft. Smith, Arkansas hospital.
She was born August 11, 1910, in Tecumseh to Samuel and Florence Belle Branson.
She married Thomas Jefferson Brock. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of God. She had lived in Spiro for the past six years.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993.
She is survived by her daughter, Geneva Moore, Spiro; sisters, Vera Claxton, Ardmore; Almeta Foust, Denver, Colorado; Thelma Tarbox, Norman; Betty Melot, Tecumseh; and Nova Brewer, Shawnee; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Rick and Margaret Moore, Maumelle, Arkansas; and James and Christy Brock, Shawnee; three granddaughters and a grandson-in-law, Vicki and Walt Nolen, Spiro; Marsha Morris, Duncan; and Chanda Redding, Tecumseh; many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joe Faircloth officiating, assisted by the Rev. Kresten Norholm.
Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery.
