FORREST BEST
1939 - 1999


Forrest "Frosty" Best, 60, Shawnee, died Sunday in a Pauls Valley hospital.
He was born January 24, 1939, in Cordell, Oklahoma to Charley E. and Esther Josephine Cooper Best.
He attended Northwest Classen in Oklahoma City and Oklahoma State University, Stillwater. He was an installation engineer for Central Fixtures for fifteen years, a sales representative for Bassett Furniture Industries for ten years, managed Kib Warren Furniture for seven years and retired from Marquis Furniture.
He married Kay Sugg on October 23, 1963, in Oklahoma City.
He served in the U. S. Army from 1961 to 1963, including a tour of duty in Korea. He moved to Shawnee in 1983.
He is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tami and Chuck Tade, Shawnee; and Keli and Darin Atwell, VanBuren, Arkansas; a son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Re Gina Best, Shawnee; six grandchildren, Stephanie Best, Lauren Tade, Garreth Atwell, Meghan Tade, Kayla Atwell and Kristen Best; brother, Glenn Best, Oklahoma City; sister, Pauletta Olea, Oklahoma City; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Ernest Strong.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
