DOROTHA EMBRY ANDERSON
1921 - 2015


Dorotha "Dottie" Embry Anderson, 93, formerly of Shawnee, died Thursday, February 12, 2015, in Okmulgee.
Dottie was born October 6, 1921, in Sand Springs, the daughter of Riley R. and Newell E. Ritchey Embry.
She graduated from Earlsboro High School and attended Neff's Business College.
She worked at Blaines Dress Shop and Federal National Bank for 25 years.
She married Robert L. Reid, who was killed in WWII. She later married Charles J. Burlie. After his death, she married A. J. "Andy" Anderson.
She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Mabee-Gerrer Museum Volunteers, St. Benedict Altar Society and Golden Hearts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, one son, Gary D. Reid and five siblings.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlene Coffin of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Diana Burton of Okmulgee; eight grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 14, at St. Benedict Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
